Interesting concept, very particular kind of execution Some of the films were really niche and I was surprised they were included, and the author s stated interest in representing little details characteristic of the movie and not big give away clues made it really hard But fun, overall No, it does ...

  2. says:

Note I got the smaller version of this, with only 50 puzzles It s a fun if simple concept executed pretty well Cinephiles who enjoy movies going back into the 1930s and right up into the 21st century are likely to get a kick out of trying to guess the movie from 6 drawings of memorable images from the film Rogers does a decent job of staying away from obviou...

  3. says:

Super frustrating Could be that I don t watch a lot of movies, but could also be that Paul Rogers by his own admission, focuses on typography, facades, and modes of transportation, very few of which stick in my memory after watching a movie.

  4. says:

Not sure how to categorize this book it is a fun idea of 100 movies depicted in a series of six pictures each The hand drawn images are scenes or objects from the movies, most not so obvious unless you really know the movie Would make a great gift for a movie buff to have on their coffee table.

  5. says:

Entertaining quiz book, in which Rogers provides six hand drawn illustrations of scenes from various movies, which readers then have to quess some are remarkably easy, others remarkably difficult Interesting what images will stick with one set of eyes but not another s.

  6. says:

A nice gimmick for movie fans I recognized just a few of them Maybe I don t watch enough movies or the wrong ones.

  7. says:

Pretty hard puzzles to solve I only got 17 out of 100 Made me want to see a lot of movies over again.

  8. says:

    Some of those were hard

  9. says:

Beautifully simple illustrations Didn t keep track but I probably guessed about 80% of the movies The list of films Rogers features make a great primer for getting started in Great Cinema.
