Oop the Gorilla is not the star of the circus, until Bubbles is hurt and Opp must fill in to save the show.My favorite part of this picturebook is that the illustrated story begins in the front matter It makes for excellent read aloud fodder The picturebook story itself is not original or unique, nor is particularly aesthtically pleasing It is a fun story though and if paired with Extraordinary Jane w...

Life in the circus is plenty of laughs and applause for Bubbles, a monkey who relishes the limelight But for Oops, his gorilla friend, it s not so much fun since she is always in the background Naturally, when Bubbles is injured, Oops seizes the chance to have a moment or two in the spotlight Things don t go well, but a star is born, and the audience loves Oop I found this one funny enough, as far as it goes, but since I ve never been a fan of slapstick humor, the idea of someone bein...

A cute story that tells kids that you can be whatever you set out to be It is a little wordy in places and at times it feels like the flow if off, but it is overall a cute circus read.
